Chamber Music Festival “Stradun Classic” – Finale

Marija Pavlović, Croatian clarinetist and Stradun Classic festival director, curates unique themed programs in Dubrovnik. She combines popular and lesser-known chamber works, featuring international artists and Croatian composers. This approach promotes local culture while fostering global collaboration in music.

The Stradun Classic Festival Orchestra presents masterpieces with soloists and orchestra members playing alongside the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra. Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, inspired by his European travels, is a standout work. Teenage Strauss composed the Mozart-influenced Romanze for Clarinet and Orchestra. Dvořák’s Silent Woods, arranged from a piano piece, expresses deep melancholy through cello. Mozart’s popularity in Prague led to successful operas. His innovative wind writing in the Prague Symphony set new standards for the genre.
