Established in 1999, the Bach Consort Wien rapidly evolved into one of Austria’s premier baroque ensembles. Under the artistic leadership of founder Rubén Dubrovsky, an Argentine conductor with Polish-Italian heritage, the group has maintained its chamber music roots. They consistently aim to present each repertoire in the most intimate setting possible. Dubrovsky, a leading conductor in baroque and classical repertoire in his home country, is also a skilled multi-instrumentalist and arranger. His passion lies in exploring the very foundations of European music, contributing to the ensemble’s authentic approach and continued success.
