The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra has been active without interruption since 1924. Beyond being a key element of Dubrovnik’s and Croatia’s vibrant cultural heritage, it also upholds the city’s longstanding musical tradition that dates back to the time of the Republic. Since December 2020, the Orchestra has been led by Ivan Hut, who places special emphasis on the works of local composers.

Ivan Hut is known for his expressive and precise conducting style, which allows him to draw nuanced performances from orchestras. His interpretations often emphasize clarity and emotional depth, whether he is conducting a lush Romantic symphony or a modern, minimalist composition.
