DSO & Ivo Pogorelić piano concert

Ivo Pogorelich is a legendary pianist who has profoundly influenced contemporary classical music. His exceptional talent and innovative approach make him one of today’s most original musical minds. His masterful technique and unique interpretations have set new standards in piano literature. Over four decades, his uncompromising artistic vision and refined musical taste have earned him worldwide acclaim, with his performances becoming highly anticipated cultural events.

Valentin Egel is the current general music director at the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka and the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra. He is a gold winner of the International Competition for Young Conductors “Lovro von Matačić”, first prize winner of the German university competition “Campus Conducting”, winner of the MDR competition and has been supported by the Conductors Forum since 2017 as part of their “Maestros ofTomorrow” list.
