JM Jazz World Orchestra & Luis Bonilla

The JM Jazz World Orchestra, led by acclaimed American trombonist Luis Bonilla, sets off on their 2024 tour from Grožnjan in Istria. This Jeunesses Musicales International project features the best young jazz musicians from around the world, selected through tough annual auditions. Over 12 years, the orchestra has collaborated with renowned conductors and soloists, performing at prestigious venues and jazz festivals across Europe and the world. Notable collaborations include the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Maria Scnheider, and Gonzalo Rubalcaba. The orchestra continues to thrive under the mentorship of Luis Bonilla, an internationally recognized trombonist, composer, and educator with an impressive musical career spanning various genres and collaborations with iconic artists. Currently, Bonilla is a professor at the Kunst University in Graz – jazz department.
