Lero Student Theatre: So much for the birds
August 13, 2024 - August 15, 2024

The play So Much For The Birds takes the title of a song by Milan Milišić that he wrote in 1972, the same year that Ivica Kunčević directed Aristophanes’ Lysistrata in the Student Theater Lero. Lero dedicates its new premier title to the memory of its long-time friends and associates who, each in their own way, marked Lero’s rich half-century chronology. The play is also a tribute to Vjeran Zuppa, who wrote Oedipus’s Room in 1987 alongside the festival premiere of The Phoenician Woman in Lovrijenac directed by Paolo Magelli, which was performed several times in Lero’s performances. From the City of Shadows, The South and “Perivoj” Misses, to So Much For The Birds.
