Linđo Folklore Dance Performance

Linđo is more than just a traditional folk dance, it’s a vibrant and powerful performance that has become a symbol of Dubrovnik’s cultural identity. Originating in the rural areas of Konavle and Primorje, this energetic dance has long captivated audiences with its fast-paced rhythm, spirited movements, and the distinctive sound of the lijerica, a traditional three-stringed instrument.

To preserve and share this treasured tradition, the Linđo Folklore Ensemble was officially founded in 1965. Today, it thrives as a dynamic group of over 300 young performers who bring Croatian folklore to life on stages across the globe. Dressed in striking handmade folk costumes, the ensemble performs a rich repertoire of dances from various regions of Croatia, yet their namesake dance, Linđo, remains the heart of every show, filled with rhythm, passion, and infectious joy that never fails to engage and inspire.
