Vlaho Bukovac and the Portraits of Dubrovnik Families

The exhibition “Vlaho Bukovac and the Portraits of Dubrovnik Families” opens on Wednesday, December 11, at 7 PM at the Dulčić Masle Pulitika Gallery. It explores Bukovac’s family portraits, their stylistic positioning, and the cultural context of their commissions in late 19th-century Dubrovnik. The show features three Bibica family portraits donated by Dr. Ana Bakija Konsuo, two of which are previously unknown works by Bukovac. Also on display are notable works like “Portrait of Katarina Bibica” (1891), as well as portraits of families like the Papi and Dabrović, presented to the public for the first time. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Rozana Vojvoda and Lucija Vuković.
